ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਵਾਰੀਅਰਜ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਊਧਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੌਕ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮਾਰਚ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਵਿਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਦੇ ਚੀਫ ਵਾਰਡਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕਪਿਲ, ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਸ. ਜੁਗਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਵਾਰਡਨ ਅਖਿਲੇਸ਼ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿਵਿਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ, ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰਾਲਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਿੰਗ ਹੈ। ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੂੰ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਆਫ਼ਤ/ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਵਲ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੋਹਰੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਭਾਰਤ – ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤਣਾਅ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
